Sprinkler Valve Repair Parts
Valves regulate the flow of water to each part of the irrigation system. If you’re in the market for more efficient and sustainable upgrades, we can install water-efficient nozzles/spray heads and wireless rain sensors that can integrate into your system. Sprinkler valves can deteriorate over time and can experience clogs, electrical issues and other problems that lead to decreased performance. Common valves found in sprinkler/irrigation systems include:
- Automatic Valves: Controlled by an irrigation controller or timer, automatic valves turn the water on and off at preset times.
- Conversion/Converter or Retrofit Valves: These are valves designed to convert an existing irrigation zone into a different type of irrigation system without overhauling it, like converting a spray head into drip irrigation.
- Ball Valve: Ball valves are simple, lightweight mechanisms that allow you to control water distribution.
- Valve Manifolds: Sprinkler valve manifolds connect two or more valves in your sprinkler system.
Backflow Repair Parts
Backflow device repair is crucial for keeping contaminated water out of your water supply. Some parts that may require replacement include:
- Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Assembly Parts: RPZ valves are installed into your plumbing system to protect the water supply from backflow. It provides the highest level of protection with two independent check valves, along with a built-in relief valve that dumps contaminated water out rather than back into the water supply.
- Backflow Test Cocks: Test cocks are used to test your backflow assembly to ensure it’s working as it should. They can also be used to release pressure.
- Y Strainers: For irrigation purposes, the Y strainer removes unwanted particles from your water through a wire or perforated mesh strainer.
Barefoot Lawn Care offers backflow testing, as required annually by North Carolina. Our Irrigation Manager is certified in backflow testing and is a licensed irrigation contractor.
PVC Pipe Repair Fittings
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipe repair fittings are essential tools for addressing leaks, cracks and breaks without the need for extensive replacements. Erosion and age are often the contributing factors to broken pipes. Examples of parts that can be replaced are:
- PVC Unions: Connect two PVC pipes without the use of adhesive, sealant or specialized tools.
- Expansion Fittings and Couplings: These are used in situations where it’s difficult to replace an entire pipe or a pipe is difficult to reach.
Controller Repair Parts
Sprinkler control systems are used to automate and manage the irrigation of landscapes, gardens, lawns and agricultural fields. They help ensure that plants receive the right amount of water at the right times, improving water efficiency and promoting healthy plant growth. Sprinkler controllers can fail for a variety of reasons, like electrical or wiring issues. Whatever the problem, we can help pinpoint and fix it.
If you’re looking for a complete upgrade, we can install a new Wi-Fi controller that allows you to automate and monitor your sprinkler settings right from your phone or computer.
