Fall Seeding: It is Time for Fall Seeding of Cool Season Grasses

The Fall is always the best time to establish or renovate cool season grasses in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Fescue is the primary choice of cool season turf in this area.  Young seedlings  normally emerge and grow best when air temperatures are between 70 and 80 degrees. Soil temperatures need to be greater than 60 degrees for good germination.
